Rent-to-own News - Cynergi takes to the clouds, goes beta today

July 1, 2011

After an accumulation of more than 50,000 man hours of work over the last two years involving as many as 40 full-time equivalent employees and contractors, Cynergi Suite, the new leading edge RTO management software package goes Beta today.

“Cynergi Suite is the result of a lot of hard work, persistence and ingenuity by a number of people that has lead to the merging and improvement of the two leading RTO store management systems,” said Wayne Chambers, President and CEO of High Touch Inc.

Cynergi Suite is a more contemporary, web-based RTO software package with a suite of ancillary products that fit the expanding needs of RTO clients. Cynergi blends the best features and functionality of the High Touch and RSSS Store Management Systems and adds new functions as well.

This includes more than 35 features such as payment term flexibility, real-time data access, web based graphical environment, and comprehensive web-based training modules.

“We are thrilled to be one of the first customers to experience Cynergi Suite," said Jerrold Finney, owner of 24 Rent to Own. "It has been a great advantage to our company and we’ve seen improvements in inventory control and new employee training.”

Cynergi Suite will be showcased at the July APRO Show. The software package will become available for general release in January 2012. What’s to come beyond that includes electronic delivery of purchase orders, a comprehensive performance management business intelligence tool, integrated text messaging for marketing and collecting, options to migrate to more paperless solutions and more.

Who Is Your Competition?

by Bill Keese

In order to expand your customer base, you can learn a lot by observing your competitors. But first, you need to figure out just who they are. If you think your only competition is the rent-to-own store down the street, you’re not considering the bigger picture. APRO’s executive director offers a big-picture perspective.

A Review of Online Customer Complaints

by Ed Winn III

While rent-to-own companies have not cornered the market on negative reviews posted on consumer complaint websites, it’s no surprise that there are cyberspace beefs against RTO. APRO’s general counsel reviews some of them in search of a pattern and he considers appropriate response to online complaints.
