Rent-to-own News - Lexington ColorTyme expands to offer more products and services

July 20, 2011

An updated look is not all that’s new for the local ColorTyme rent-to-own store. Now located at 1315 Winchester Rd., the store occupies a larger space to provide a greater mix of products and services for Lexington residents.

“By relocating the store, our goal is to expand on the quantity of brand-name products at the best price that we can give our customers. A larger space will also allow us to offer other services,” said Shawn DiLeo, the store’s owner.

On top of offering the latest in name-brand appliances, furniture and electronics, ColorTyme provides convenient payment options without a credit check. Customers can also enjoy delivery, set-up and installation at no additional charge during the rental period.

DiLeo feels that going the extra mile in customer service and providing a hometown shopping experience is what sets ColorTyme apart as the best choice in rent-to-own.

“We believe buying or renting products shouldn’t be like making a utility payment. That’s why we provide an experience that is above any other rent-to-own store; one that will make customers enjoy shopping with us again and again,” said DiLeo. “We invite everyone to come see us in our new location and discover the first-class service and unbeatable prices that ColorTyme of Lexington is known for.”

The relocated ColorTyme will celebrate its grand opening on Friday, Aug. 5.

Who Is Your Competition?

by Bill Keese

In order to expand your customer base, you can learn a lot by observing your competitors. But first, you need to figure out just who they are. If you think your only competition is the rent-to-own store down the street, you’re not considering the bigger picture. APRO’s executive director offers a big-picture perspective.

A Review of Online Customer Complaints

by Ed Winn III

While rent-to-own companies have not cornered the market on negative reviews posted on consumer complaint websites, it’s no surprise that there are cyberspace beefs against RTO. APRO’s general counsel reviews some of them in search of a pattern and he considers appropriate response to online complaints.
