Rent-to-own News - Brad Denison named COO of Access Plans

February 22, 2012

Benefit Marketing Solutions (BMS), the largest provider of membership programs to the Rental Industry, announced last week the appointment of Brad Denison as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of its’ parent company, Access Plans, Inc.  Denison will assume this responsibility from Brett Wimberley who also serves as President and CFO and will continue in these roles.

"We are excited to have Brad in this position. With his knowledge of our business, his longtime association with industry leaders and his career work on industry legislative efforts, he is a natural fit for the role,” said Danny Wright, Chairman and CEO of Access Plans, Inc.

“These are exciting times for our company and this industry.  I am honored to serve the company in this new capacity and I look forward to continuing the great relationships I have enjoyed in our industry over the last 20 years.” said Denison.

Denison began working with BMS in 2006 as EVP and General Counsel where he has been a great asset insuring the company’s program is compliant with the complicated and constantly changing regulatory environment.

He was formerly Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Rent A Center. Prior to his employment at RAC, Denison was in private law practice working extensively in insurance and litigation.  Denison has a B.S. in Business Administration and a Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas.

At the same time Access Plans announced the promotion of Lanai Williams to Vice President of Client Services.

Williams has been with BMS since its inception where she began as a member services representative processing claims.  Through her tenure at BMS she advanced to manager of member services, account development, AVP of account management, and now VP of Client Services.

Williams is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a BS in Communications

Who Is Your Competition?

by Bill Keese

A Review of Online Customer Complaints

by Ed Winn III
