APRO's 2008 College Scholarship

APRO Scholarship Foundation to award its first college scholarship in 2008!

A $2,000 scholarship is now available through the APRO Scholarship Foundation.

Applicants must submit the entry form by December 31, 2007. Candidates will then be reviewed by the APRO Scholarship Foundation board of directors and the recipient will be chosen. Applicants wishing to apply for the scholarship must meet the following criteria set forth by the Scholarship Foundation:

• The scholarship applicant must be a current employee of an APRO member rent-to-own company; or
• A current customer of an APRO member rent-to-own company; or
• An immediate relative (e.g., brother, sister, parent, child or grandchild) of an APRO member company employee or customer; and
• The scholarship applicant must be currently enrolled student in an accredited college or university; and
• Must have or maintain a 3.0 grade point average; and
• Is preferably pursuing a business or liberal arts degree.

The scholarship recipient will receive $1,000 of the scholarship immediately upon selection and the remaining $1,000 will be presented at the completion of one semester when the student submits proof of the achievement of a 3.0 grade point average or better.
