August 7, 2008
The Health & Wellness Coalition of Wichita recently announced High Touch Technology Solutions as a co-winner of the organization's fourth annual Working Well award, presented to Wichita companies that exemplify the best in health and wellness programs.
This year’s winners are NORDAM and High Touch which were selected based on such criteria as the nature of each company’s health and wellness program, the number of participating employees, facility assessment, work, family and stress management programs..
This year’s winners will receive their awards at the fourth annual Working Well Conference on Tuesday August 26 at the Wichita Airport Hilton.
Both NORDAM and High Touch were selected due to their extensive range of program services provided to their employees as well as high participation rates.
High Touch boasts an 83 percent participation rate and company sponsored gym memberships, on-site healthy lifestyle coaching, and participation in community programs such as the MS 150 Bike Tour and the MS Walk.
“High Touch has always been an employee oriented company and the implementation of our CHAMP program was a natural outgrowth of the value we place on our employees," said Matt Hampton, director of finance for High Touch. "We are very proud to be honored with the Working Well Award as a confirmation that we are taking good care of the people that take care of our customers every day.”
Jessica Tarbell, Corporate Wellness Director for the Greater Wichita YMCA and Working Well Conference Co-Chair, says the three companies were recognized because they put a high premium on the health of their employees.
“The companies have demonstrated exceptional wellness programming in the workplace," Tarbell says. "They've made their employee's health and wellness a priority and we are happy to recognize their efforts.”
