Rent-to-own News - Midwest RTO Expo registration now available through APRO Web site

Rent-to-own Dealers planning to attend the fifth annual Midwest RTO Training Expo September 9-10 in Columbus, Ohio can now register online through the APRO e-communities link.

Organizers expect around 200 attendees at the event, which last year attracted rent-to-own professionals from seven states including Kentucky, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia and Pennsylvania.

Some highlights of the event this year include a pre-show cocktail reception and bowling party followed the next day by product and management trainings and an open exhibit hall.

The show was a sellout last year and those wishing to attend are urged to sign up soon.  Hotel reservations can be made by calling the Concourse Hotel and Conference Center at 614/237-2515 or 800/541-4574. Deadline for hotel reservations and event registration is August 15.

Although buying will take place at the expo, Mike Tissot, president of the Ohio Rental Dealers Association (ORDA), emphasizes the event is a "training" expo, which will focus on vendor-led education sessions that train rent-to-own dealers and employees to use and sell the products they carry.

"Rental dealer employees will leave the show armed with the knowledge to increase their ability to rent more merchandise," Tissot says.
