Rent to own Audio & Podcasts: Becky Reopelle Interview

Becky Reopelle was the first KLQ Education Foundation Scholarship Recipient four years ago -- the first of 28 students to win the four-year $1,000 per year scholarship award to date.

A student in the dental hygiene program at Pierce College in Tacoma, Washington, Reopelle says winning the scholarship was instrumental in helping her stay out of debt and in allowing her to choose a well-rounded program. After graduation in nine months, and receiving her license, she plans to specialize in pediatric and restorative dentistry enlisting her skills in the doctors across borders program.

"There's a lot of community work I can do as well. This degree has offered me a lot of opportunities for me and I just have to pick," Reopelle says. "This foundation has done a lot for a lot of people and this has been a humbling opportunity."
