Larry Sutton discusses the APRO RTO [Relief To Our] Employees Disaster Relief Fund at the APRO 2006 Convention and Buying Show general session in Orlando, Florida, September 21. In 2005, members of the Association of Progressive Rental Organizations contributed more than $190,000 to help rent-to-own employees get back on their feet after the devastation caused by hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The rent-to-own community helped 159 employees survive and recover from these natural disasters.

John Spangle
John Spangle, president of TRIB Group and Partner's Rental Purchase Inc was named APRO's 2006 Rental Dealer of the Year. Spangle has been a member of APRO for nine years and is involved in the legislative efforts for the rent-to-own industry, both on the federal and state levels, even attending the last legislative conference with an exchange student who was staying with his family at the time.
