Renting: The Gateway to Quality Used Packaging Equipment

Today renting is often the gateway to a variety of high quality products. Consumers are increasingly weary of the risk of purchasing a product for life. Renting allows consumers to sample a variety of quality products without a substantial financial investment. We represent not only the voice of the rent to own industry, but also the consumers that access our products and services.

Many of our customers were at first weary of rent to own products. For some ownership has always been their first choice, yet many had been disillusioned in recent years after purchasing costly machines and equipment only to have it break or malfunction. In many instances, the rent to own clientele also represents the growing number of business people that have opted for used packaging machinery as an alternative to purchasing products new.

There are several scenarios to consider that eloquently display the benefits of this market trend. Let's take for example a customer with all rent to own appliances in the kitchen. This customer is able to sample the very best appliances on the market. As a result of finding the right appliances, the customer decides to start a small boutique bakery and work from home. The customer now possess an increased faith is tested products and would be more likely to opt for slightly used machinery. The customer would most likely select some sort of used wrapper machine to maintain the quality of the baked goods.

Let's illustrate another scenario where rent to own products benefit the consumer. A cosmetic company sales person works from home on a rent to own laptop. The goal is to market a new eco-friendly cosmetics line. After experiencing the benefits of rented goods, the cosmetics sales professional chooses used cosmetic equipment in lieu of expensive new equipment. The company also stays true to its eco-friendly cosmetics campaign by not contributing any more than in necessary to global waste. The rented laptop is used until the sales person decides to buy it or it is passed onto another first time laptop renter; the used cosmetic machinery produces the goods with a minimal impact on the environment. This is one of the many ways that e-waste, the toxic litter of improperly disposed technology, can ultimately be avoided.

As you can see, there is a strong correlation between used processing equipment and rent to own. Both options tread more lightly on the environment and lessen the risk often involved for consumers in purchases of this nature. Consumers and businesses that chose rentals and slightly used machinery are going to have a significant advantage over those who solely buy and buy new.

Former president Jimmy Carter added some light to the above discussion when he commented, "Solid wastes are the discarded leftovers of our advanced consumer society. This growing mountain of garbage and trash represents not only an attitude of indifference toward valuable natural resources, but also a serious economic and public health problem." By following the trend of used products and consuming less, consumers will find themselves that they are now part of solution, not the problem.
