Rent to Own Products Offer the Comforts of Home to Traveling Nurses

With the shortage of skilled medical professionals both in the United States and internationally, traveling nurses are in constant demand. Nurses often travel to an area to fill short-term contracts and meet staffing demands. Some may wonder why nurses would be willing to uproot themselves, only to leave in a relatively short amount of time. The answers may surprise you. First many nurses are able to see parts of the country, and in some case, the world, that would previously not have been possible for them. In addition, traveling nurses are offered a higher salary, often including a signing bonus. They also often enjoy free benefits during their tenure.

Despite the numerous perks, including getting to wear scrub tops and scrub pants to work everyday, there are some drawbacks to living and working on the road. One of these challenges is often found when it comes time to furnish a personal residence. Some opt for housing furnished by the employer; yet others chose to find their own accommodations. In both scenarios, this stressor of securing appropriate housing is often dramatically reduced with the use of rented furniture and appliances.

Traveling nurses have the option to consider one of nearly 400 travel nurse companies. One plus is that they only have to complete the paperwork once. This allows nurses to send out their resumes and applications for a variety of job openings at the same time. Another perk of traveling nursing is that travel nurses can remain at their current home and be given a taxed subsidy for their mortgage/rent if they elect not to move.

Some nurses comment about coming home from work after a long shift in strange city and finding comfort in their new surroundings. Sitting on a comfortable rented sofa in their nursing scrubs and emailing back and forth with loved ones in other parts of the country on a rented computer brings many of the creature comforts of their home cities within reach.

With over 25,000 traveling nurses in the United States, traveling nursing is an in demand field with numerous opportunities for growth. Traveling nursing gets in the blood of some nurses, and they eventually decide to make it a career path. Whether a nurse makes it a permanent career, or opts to travel and work for a few years, the sum of their travels undoubtedly reveals scrub uniforms from big cities to the small towns and beyond. Nurses can rest assured that rent to own furniture and appliances are readily available to turn their new residence into a home.

One of the most famous nurses of all times, Florence Nightingale once stated, most eloquently, "Nursing is an art: and if it is to be made an art, it requires an exclusive devotion as hard a preparation, as any painter's or sculptor's work; for what is the having to do with dead canvas or dead marble, compared with having to do with the living body, the temple of God's spirit? It is one of the Fine Arts: I had almost said, the finest of Fine Arts." Her words capture the spirit and passion of the ever-changing nursing industry.
